World Thrombosis Day 5K on Sunday 10th July 2022
We are excited to announce the BRAND NEW World Thrombosis Day 5K! Come and run the inaugural event at Victoria Park on Sunday 10th July 2022 and take the opportunity to race around this unique location!
Join healthcare professionals and partners from around the world as we Keep Life Flowing on July 10th for the World Thrombosis Day 5K. Participate in person or virtually to raise awareness of thrombosis on a global scale.
The in-person run will take place at Victoria Park in London in conjunction with the ISTH 2022 Congress. We are also hosting a Virtual 5K race where participants can complete the distance in a location of their choice anytime between July 9-13, 2022.
It’s important to keep active and look after your physical and mental health. that is why we also have a virtual event for you to participate in and record your valuable miles. Tell us how you get on and send us proof of your run by taking a screenshot or photo and d send it to us at [email protected] so that we can get your well-earned medal and goodies sent out to you.

*Please note that Virtual 5K participants will receive a code that can be redeemed for a commemorative T-Shirt, but the participant will be responsible for shipping costs!

ONCE ENTERED YOU WILL RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL.
MORE INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR RACE PACK AND THE BIG DAY WILL BE SENT CLOSER TO THE EVENT.
We will have a secure area where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to the baggage tent staff and they will help you find your baggage.
Toilets
There will be plenty of portaloos brought on site for the event.
Refreshments
Water will be available at the finish line. We have also got several post race goodies for when you finish :-)
During the race
We will have marshals all around the course as well as km signs and arrows.
The 5K course is of 1.5 laps on the roads/paths in the park.
Please be aware that there will be spectators and members of the public using the park.
Spectators
In terms of spectating, this park could literally not be any better, the fields are open and every area of the park is accessible to see people running round.
Results
Results will be available on www.wtd5k.com/results/ after the race.
Pictures
We will have a photographer taking a few snaps of the race and they will be on Facebook after the race so be sure to check it out and see if you can spot yourself.
Things to note!
There WILL be pedestrians, please be aware of pedestrians, cyclists and dogs. We have marshals around the course and signs but this is not a road race, you have to pay very close attention to where you are going. We recommend you do not use earphones and you need to pay close attention to everything around you.
