Just been ask if I’m still on cloud 9… YES. YES I AM. . Today’s race plan was ‘go hard’. I should have known that Hillsborough was going to be hilly but oh my god that was brutal😍🤦🏻‍♀️ . At mile 2 I felt sore and thought wow how am I going to be able to keep up this pace. Each mile marker seemed to be short (or different to my watch), the hills kept coming and coming. You were just about down the other side and there was another. I’ve never been able to keep pace on hills before. I ran 7 miles with a lovely guy Alistair who I could say un-officially paced me. I told him ‘do not leave me’. He never did! What a guy💥🙌🏼 At mile 10 my watch just decided to pack it on- gps was wrong miles were quick and slow, long and short and the pace was ALL OVER THE PLACE. I kept pushing. . On one of the hilliest routes I’ve ever ran I took almost 8 minutes off my half PB. Train smart, train hard and trust the plan. It works. Let’s see what Amsterdam has to offer~ 💁🏻‍♀️👸🏻🥰 . #run #runnersofinstagram #runthrough #halfmarathon #runthroughuk #pb #marathontraining #marathonplan #runhappy #runhard #thisgirlcan

Happy medal Monday! Loved this run. Great scenary. Great mixed terrain, some… actually many short steep hills and my merrell minimalist shoes were amazing to run it. I ran happy yesterday and got myself a wee PB. Learned a few things too, I stay in my slow start too long and I broke too early so something to work on. biggest thing I learned is to run happy your mood affects your run…hence the jump just getting into the fun vibe, well it worked for me 🙃 loved the freebies 😋 thanks @phoenixgas #castlefestival #hillsbouroughcastle #hillsboroughrunningfestival #runthroughuk #letsdothis #10k #runhappy #smilesformiles #barefootrunning #instagramrunners #instarunners #instarun #instarunners #runnersofinstagram #runningshoes #runnorthernireland #runnerslife #runnershigh #runnersworld #medalmonday

The Pausers are back!! …🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️⏸⏸.. We've both had a serious bout of 'Brain Fug' 🥴🥴& 'Writers Block' 🤓🤓…. coupled with the usual lemons life throws at you. We did try to make lemonade, but sliced them instead & put them in our Gin 😮😮.. Only joking 😉😉… we're trying hard to improve our nutritional 'stuff' for hormonal balance (a great night listening to Jane @vital.nutrition on Wednesday night had us armed with Linwoods Milled Organic Flaxseed by Thursday…. more on that next week ladies 😎😎👌👌) ⏸⏸ But today we visited the Queen…. well her NI residence 😂😂, #HistoricRoyalPalaces Hillsborough Castle & Gardens. We were running 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ the Half Marathon distance 🏅🏅in the brilliantly organised #CastleRunningFestival ⏸⏸ In the words of our favourite @BallymenaRunners athlete George Buckley it was a wee "Uppey, Downey" course & we all felt the strong winds too!! George also needed one of those "Foily Blanket Thinghys" at the finish 🥴🥴… but he was grand 😉😉 Ballymena men are made of strong stuff….. bit like we Pausers 😂😂👌👌 ⏸⏸ We used the race as an alternative to our usual Long Sunday run. 👉Rosi: 2:07 ish 🤸‍♀️ 👉Heather: 1:52 ish 🤸‍♀️ #belfasthalfmarathon training Week 7 finished… lower mileage Week 8 here we come 👌 (although 1 Pauser will be training in the 🌞🌞😉😉)

No PB but I'm still smiling 😁 . I wont lie when i first booked this I wanted under the 1.47.🙈 I trained hard for this, missing no #speedwork , hitting all the #hills possible and was consistant with my training (well as much as a mummy 👩‍👧‍👦can be!)and i feel that im fittest iv ever been before and after kids🤰🤱 but the course just got the better of me!😔 . I suppose the clue is in the name #Hillsborough so u can only imagine but i managed to complete a very tough route which was part trail (u all no i dont race trail, its just for enjoyment 🤣) and the miles on the road was an out & back of ups and downs, in 1hour 51mins!!🏃‍♀️ . Today just wasnt the day and thats ok!! Last week i got myself so annoyed over silly times⏱ that i promised myself ,no matter what the outcome today, i was going to be pleased to have finished and so i am!!😊 . I was reminded today, im a mummy with 2 young kids under 3 and i still managed complete my 3rd half marathon in less than a year and all of them under 2 hours so yes im happy, infact im more than happy, im very proud myself!!#theresnothinglikeabitofselfpraise #selfpraise #proudofme #runningmummyni #runningmummy #runningmum #runni #runningcommunity #247running #womansrunningcommunity #thismumcan #thisgirlcan #halfmarathon #13.1miles #Hillsboroughhalf #hillsboroughcastlehalfmarathon #castlerunningfestival #runthroughuk #runthroughevents
